DRESS CODE

We are off to Europe next week for our 2nd wedding anniversary and a business collaboration and I’ve got everything I need! Now I just have to actually put it in my suitcase and we’re jet set! I’ve been going to Europe every year for the past 3 years for work and pleasure, so I feel like I have a pretty good idea of what you’d need to take with you on a trip overseas. Neal and I love the Mediterranean coast (gorgeous islands, beaches, history etc.) so we frequent there often, but I’ve also done some big cities like London & Paris which require less of an island attire! In Europe, almost everyone dresses up (you can spot tourists in running shoes and shorts, lol), but if you want to blend in like a local, above is a great shopping list of cute and comfortable pieces that will take you from day to night. A blazer is a great piece to bring with you in case you get chilly at dinner and it instantly looks polished with white denim, shorts or over a dress!

FOOTWEAR

Footwear is something to think about (especially if you’re going to be doing a lot of walking). I highly recommend investing in some cute wedges for dinner because a lot of the streets in Europe are cobblestone! I’m so glad sneakers + dresses are a thing right now, because it looks cute and you’ll be comfortable! I do bring flat sandals just for daytime by the pool or a quick walk to lunch — definitely wear better foot support if you are doing major site-seeing.

BEAUTY

As for beauty, in the summer I like to look more bronzed, so I usually play up my sun kissed skin with some dew drops (a beautiful highlighter) and body bronzer for a glow on the shoulders, arms and legs. I also discovered the most compact eye palette that’s perfect for travel and has a “sunset” range of colours — which is all you really need! I like to wear less makeup in the summertime. Long flights do a number on my skin, so I always bring a hydrating mask and moisturizer for during and post travel. I’ve heard so many good things about the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, so I think i’ll have to pick that up before we fly out!

So excited to get this trip started, we’ve been looking forward to it for weeks!  Let me know if you have any questions on sizing or if you’re planning a trip and not sure what to pack, I’d love to help. xoxo
