Hey babes! Hope you’re all having a great week! I feel like between returning home after Europe, catching up on life and work and trying to cover the Nordstrom Sale so I could be a resource for you guys — it’s been a whirlwind! These photos make me miss slow evenings soaking in the sunset. I brought the book Present Over Perfect to re-read on this trip and it served as such a reminder to not let time slip by you without enjoying the sweet little moments in between. Taking in a sunset, sitting by the water, picking fresh fruit and just being still. I already feel like this week has been demanding in all aspects of our life, to get back, catch up, keep grinding and I don’t want to fall into old familiar patterns that can leave us burned out. Tonight, I think we might just take our dinner out to a park, lay out a blanket and just be still for a while (if Lucy lets us and doesn’t find birds to traumatize, lol). Yeah, that sounds like a good plan to me…
Love this quote: “I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don’t want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines and sing out loud in the car with the windows open and wear pink shoes and stay up all night laughing. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets and throw parties and eat ripe tomatoes and read books so good they make me jump up and down, and I want my everyday to make God belly laugh, glad that he gave life to someone who loves the gift.” From the book, Cold Tangerines.
